Rupert Hammond Chambers

Rupert Hammond Chambers- President, USTBC & MD, BowerGroupAsia

Mr. Hammond-Chambers was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and moved to the U.S. in 1987, earning a B.A. from Denison University. He began his career at Advanced Telecommunication Corporation in 1991, later joining The Center for Security Policy in 1993. In 1994, he started at the US-Taiwan Business Council, becoming Vice President in 1998 and President in 2000. 

 

He also serves as Senior Advisor at Bower Group Asia, leading the Taiwan practice and overseeing defense and security. In addition, he sits on the Board of The Project 2049 Institute, is a Trustee of Friends of Fettes College, and a member of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.
